Adam’s Story

 How It Works

MEDICATION WHEN YOU NEED IT

At Groups Recover Together, Suboxone is prescribed to curb pain and sickness from opiate withdrawal. Medication is tapered safely, only when you feel ready.

WEEKLY MEETINGS WITH A SUPPORTIVE COMMUNITY

Weekly meetings provide a safe space to be honest with other people going through the same thing.

FAQs

+What do I have to do to get started?

Call us any time of day or night (24/7) at (888) 858-1723 and our intake specialist will collect some necessary information and schedule you for a video intake appointment. We strive to get all new members an appointment within 48 hours.

+Do you accept my insurance?

We accept a variety of health insurance plans, however this varies based on location. Our intake specialist can walk through the options in your area when you call us at (888) 858-1723. Our phone lines are staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for any questions you may have.

+What happens at my intake appointment?

Now via telehealth during COVID-19, you will meet individually with a licensed substance use disorder counselor who will collect a clinical history to see if you are a good fit for our program. You’ll be asked to provide a urine sample; remember, it’s okay to test positive for opioids (we expect it!).

Next, you will meet individually with a physician who will review medical issues that could impact your treatment and will determine your appropriate dose of medication to prevent cravings. You will then join a group of other members at different stages of recovery that meets every week.

+When are groups?

Groups are held on weekdays between 8 AM and 8 PM, but depend on individual office schedules. You will set up your group time with the counselor during your intake appointment. We make every effort to fit into your work schedule. With our offices closed for safety during the COVID-19 pandemic, we have transitioned to telehealth and are offering all groups remotely over videoconferencing. All you need to join is a phone.

+What are groups like?

Groups are small (10-15 people) and will be with the same people every week. They meet for 1 hour and are led by a licensed counselor. We're continuing the same format via telehealth while our offices are closed during COVID-19. A physician joins each group once a month and can help with questions about medication, and develop a plan to taper off when you are ready.
